The Federal Government has called for a Senate inquiry to investigate the ACT Government’s forced takeover of the Calvary Hospital. 

Father Tony Percy, retired Vicar General of the Archdiocese of Canberra and Goulburn, has called upon the government to push forward investigations into the reasons for a takeover.

He continued, “We have to acknowledge the [government’s] decision as anyone does in the country, but we’d like to see the reasons for the decision”. 

“It’s a real fight and people want a free and fair nation where we’re getting a coercive and unjust nation out of this sort of behaviour”, Father Percy proclaimed.
