Senior NSW Minister Rob Stokes believes Minister Ayres resigning today was “the right call”.

The NSW Premier has announced an investigation will be held into whether Stuart Ayres has breached the Ministerial Code of Conduct and Mr Stokes believes its “appropriate” he steps aside.

Rob Stokes told Jim Wilson the state of the Liberal government at the moment is “very frustrating and very sad”.

He also added it’s concerning with everything going on it could affect the upcoming election.

“The last few weeks are a rightful reminder that we need to serve the community.”

NSW Labor Leader Chris Minns said the Premier has “finally” made the right call.

Mr Minns told Jim Wilson the whole situation has been a huge distraction for the Liberals.
