Is this the most precious complaint of all time?
Could this be the most precious complaint of all time?
A senior university lecturer is up-in-arms after a Qantas flight attendant used an incorrect title to address her.
In a furious tweet, Dr Siobhan O’Dwyer has slammed the attendant for not calling her “doctor”.
“Hey Qantas, my name is Dr O’Dwyer,” she writes.
“Do not look at my ticket, look at me, look back at my ticket, decide it’s a typo, and call me Miss O’Dwyer. I did not spend eight years at university to be called Miss.”
Hey @Qantas, my name is Dr O’Dwyer. My ticket says Dr O’Dwyer. Do not look at my ticket, look at me, look back at my ticket, decide it’s a typo, and call me Miss O’Dwyer. I did not spend 8 years at university to be called Miss.

Ben Fordham is calling the academic’s behaviour out in spectacular form.
“You’re not the Prime Minister or the Governor-General. Who, by the way, prefer to be called ScoMo or Peter.
“How many doctors do you reckon get on… and off flights every day? There’d be thousands!
“You’re expecting flight attendants to recognise all of those people with a special greeting?”
Ben says the workers are there to get every passenger from A to B safely, not to worry about giving the correct title.
“They want to get you in your seat and get you some peanuts and a drink and they want to get everyone up in the air.
“They’re not there to stroke egos, Miss O’Dwyer.”
