Investigation underway after explosion at a suspected drug lab in Sydney
An explosion at a home in Sydney’s north-west has revealed a suspected drug lab.
The small blast happened around six last night at Stanhope Gardens and it sent a manhole cover flying about 15 metres and spewed debris across the road.
A crime scene is now in place at the property where police say chemicals and drums filled with liquid have been found.
They’re collecting those items and substances which will be tested to confirm what they are.
Neighbour Troy says the blast was so strong, it caused plumbing issues in his home:
No one was injured in the explosion nor have any arrests been made, but police are looking for two men seen in the area at the time.
