The Inner West Council will turn the lights on at all sporting fields during Sydney’s lockdown.

Mayor Darcy Byrne told Deborah Knight other councils should follow suit.

“It’s such an important way to maintain people’s health.

“We’ll be monitoring it with the local police to make sure this is not going to be people gathering in large groups.”
