Sydneysiders are being told to stay at home tomorrow amid ongoing train strikes.

More than 30 train services have already been cancelled.

T2 Inner West and Leppington Line, T3 Bankstown Line and T8 Airport and South Line are worst affected.

Despite day-long talks, the union is still at loggerheads with the government over the deal to modify the intercity fleet.

Sydney Trains CEO Matt Longland told Ben Fordham there are limited replacement buses and those travelling on affected lines are advised to allow for extra travel time.

Official strike action is expected tomorrow, with foreign-made trains to be taken out of service.

Sydneysiders are being encouraged to work from home, with heavy disruptions expected.

“More than two-thirds of our trains won’t be operating tomorrow,” Mr Longland said.
