‘I knew I was dying’: A debut novel about life and death

Deborah Knight

After coming close to death, an Australian writer reignited her longing dream of writing a book.

Australian Author, Dianne Yarwood accomplished her goal and published her first book ‘The Wakes’ which revolves around life and death.

Dianne expressed to Deborah Knight that while battling Addison’s disease she knew she would “regret” not writing a novel if she didn’t make it out alive from her rare diagnosis.

“I came within a day of death and knew I was dying and accepted I was dying. Then my life was saved by an emergency doctor, it was a case of she’d seen that once before in her career and I was just lucky,” Dianne said.
