The Wests Tigers have pulled off a miracle win defeating the Parramatta Eels 21-20 after halfback Jackson Hastings slotted an impressive field goal.

After five previous losses, the pressure was growing on the club, but Hastings may have alleviated the tension for head coach Michael McGuire after kicking a 40-metre field goal to defeat the 4th place Eels.

Wide World of Sports co-host Billy Slater told Mark Levy he is elated for the Tigers.

“They went out and got this game.”

“I take my hat off to them.”

Die-hard listener and Tigers fan Scott told Mark Levy he was in tears after the win.

“To see that field goal this afternoon … I was just sitting there in tears in the lounge room.”
