Cronulla premiership-winning captain Paul Gallen believes a historic premiership for the Bulldogs would be a bridge too far this season, citing too many changes in their spine as the issue for the club.

“I don’t think Canterbury can win the comp, the spine of your team is so important, it’s the most important part of your team and they’ve changed that around too much for me this year,” Gallen said.
