About 11.30am today emergency services were called to Missenden Road in Camperdown after reports a 34-year-old woman was stabbed in the neck.

She was treated at the scene, before attending Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, where she is expected to undergo surgery.

Officers from Redfern Police Area Command attended and arrested a 46-year-old woman, transporting her to Newtown Police Station where she is assisting police with inquiries.
