Government condemned for lack of action on ‘direct threat to Australia’
A defence expert is criticising the federal government for its lack of action on a “direct threat to Australia’s national security”.
The Solomon Islands have signed a security deal allowing for a Chinese military presence on their land.
Defence and national security expert Lincoln Parker told Chris Smith “we should be very concerned”.
“This is an immediate and direct threat to Australia.
“China can establish a very large military base … the whole nine yards.”
