You’d be hard-pressed to find an Australian who doesn’t love Italian food.

This month, Sydney-siders will be treated to a feast of Italian flavours as an iconic festival returns.

The Italian Wine + Food Festival kicks off on Sunday August 26 and will feature everything from cheesy pizza to creamy gelato.

Festival-goers will even be treated to live demonstrations, with the ‘godfather’ of modern Italian cuisine Stefano Manfredi set to take the stage.

“You really are being taught by the best,” Chris Smith says.

The master himself has joined Chris in the studio, complimenting his improved Italian.

“It’s good. We’re forgiving, as long as you try!”

The highly-respected chef has fielded some calls from our listeners and he’s handing out some priceless pointers.

And of course, most of them involve “lots of parmesan!”
