You probably never thought you’d see flying cars in your lifetime.

But they may only be two years away.

If ride-sharing service Uber gets its way, we’ll have flying cars in Sydney as soon as 2020.

Futurist and author Ross Dawson tells Ben Fordham the joint venture between NASA and the rideshare company is in motion, with production already underway in Paris.

He says the cars will be “drones” large enough to carry people.

If the plan comes to fruition, passengers won’t be able to order a ride from any old street corner.

“All the traffic is going to be from (one) particular skyport to the next skyport,” Ross explains.

“It’s all very clear and planned.”
