In a couple of months, Chris Smith will be broadcasting live from the fields of Villers-Bretonneux.

He’ll be there for the biggest military commemoration of 2018 and will be recalling the bravery of soldiers who risked their lives 100 years ago.

War historian Will Davies joins Chris Smith to explain Australia’s involvement in the final year of the Great War.

“Winter 1918 comes…the Allies know the Germans are going to have their last big attempt at winning the war.”

“They were thinking and preparing for this big offensive.”
