New South Wales Transport Minister Jo Haylen has admitted to 2GB’s Chris O’Keefe that Josh Murray, the newly appointed Secretary of Transport for NSW, was “absolutely” a member of the Labor Party in an awkward interview.

Haylen is under pressure about accusations she signed off on “jobs for the boys” when appointing Murray to the high profile role.

“Absolutely, of course, he was a member of the Labor Party,” she told Chris O’Keefe.

UPDATE: Opposition leader Mark Speakman has decried it, describing it simply as “jobs for the boys”.
