A hard-working Scottish family’s fight to not be deported has been successful.

In, 2012 Mark Green and his family moved to Australia on a working visa after he was head-hunted by an Adelaide solar company.

Mark could become a permanent resident after three years but before that time was up, the company who brought him over went broke.

Subsequently, this happened seven times to Mark as he tried to secure more work.

Back in August- the Federal Government ordered them on a 10am flight back to Scotland and they’ve since had a number of extensions- and have spent more than $150,000 in legal fees.

Mark told Ben, his family has been given permission to apply for permanent residency.

“The Minister has given us a 600 visitor visa which allows us to apply within the country.”
