ELECTION EVE HIGHS: Snakes in the grass and red frogs

Article image for ELECTION EVE HIGHS: Snakes in the grass and red frogs

Clinton Maynard, who been travelling on the Premier’s bus on the election trail, gives as a behind the scenes peek into the state election as we prepare to go to the polls tomorrow.

Reporting from Penrith,  one of the most marginal seats in the state, Maynard said the Premier was holding a press conference at a sporting venue where there was a sign on the grass with the words: “Beware snakes”.

The election sweeteners have been served thick and fast from both sides of politics but the journalists have had their sweeteners dished up to them, literally. This includes cupcakes with the Premier’s face on them.

“It now appears that both the Labor Party and the Liberals are trying to outdo each other with snacks,” Maynard said, confessing he loves the red frogs.
