St George Illawarra interim coach Ryan Carr has addressed his future.

In his first match in charge, the Dragons defeated the Roosters 24-22 at Netstrata Jubilee Stadium.

Earlier this week, head coach Anthony Griffin was sacked by the club off the back of six consecutive losses to start the season.

Several candidates have been named including Jason Ryles who is currently an assistant at the Roosters, as well as South Sydney assistant coach, Ben Hornby.

Ryan Carr will serve as interim coach until the end of the season and his told The Continuous Call Team that is his focus at the moment.

“I’m just focused on one week at a time at the moment” Carr said.

“I’m trying to block out the outside noise.”
