Kevin Bacon is retiring.

And no, we’re not talking about the well-known American actor.

Kevin Bacon, the popular pet pig who’s taken up residence at The Grounds of Alexandria for the past six years.

Beloved Kev is moving on to greener pastures, and the Grounds are sending him off in style.

The Grounds of Alexandria Brand Director Dan Mylonas tells Deborah Knight they’re sad to see him go, but his future is looking bright on the mid-north coast of New South Wales.

“The farmer has agreed to create a nice little pen for him.

“It’s going to be really good for him to get out on a farm and get some fresh air.”

Kevin’s farewell hoorah will extend over seven weeks, with pastries, cakes and installations being created in his honour.

But when the celebrations come to a close, Dan assures us there are plans to welcome a new porky friend.
