The Independent Broad-based Anti-corruption Commission (IBAC) – Victoria’s ICAC – is reportedly examining the conduct of Premier Daniel Andrews.

The Age revealed the Premier’s involvement in reforms which benefitted the state’s firefighters’ union is under scrutiny.

Sky News commentator Peta Credlin told Jim Wilson the Victorian Premier should be held to the same standard as the former NSW premier, if an investigation is confirmed by IBAC.

“You’d be sitting at home in Sydney saying ‘well if Gladys Berejiklian resigned – not just stood aside but resigned – because she was being investigated … why is Daniel Andrews still there?’

“I think everyone in Melbourne’s asking the same question.

“How do you run a state if the investigation goes on for years?”
