Last year, Chris told his mother he’d be coming to Ireland to trace the roots of his highly regarded great-grandfather Kyran.

True to his word, Chris is in Kilkenny to discover his roots.

Owner of Oak Ancestry and genealogist Marie Cahill filtered through parish records, discovering a great deal about Kyran.

“We carried out a search and we saw that he had five siblings.

“We came across four baptism records.”

Marie reveals why Kyran would have left his homeland for Australia and gives Chris the piece of news he’s been waiting for.
