The Campbelltown Mayor has admitted he is frustrated with the pace of a long-awaited infrastructure project.

Listener Bob tipped Ben off to the case of a multi-million-dollar state-of-the-art sports facility at Western Sydney University in Campbelltown, pledged in 2016 by the federal government and never delivered by the promised date of June 2021.

“This must be one of the slowest government projects we’ve ever seen!” Ben Fordham said.

Campbelltown City Council Mayor George Brticevic told Ben the project should be concluded in April 2024.

“I’m not going to try lie and mislead – of course, I’m frustrated with this project, but like I said it’s still ongoing.”
