Brain cancer victim’s miraculous contribution to research

A Current Affair will tonight air a story that details the remarkable story of brain cancer victim Lisa Williams.

A resolute supporter of the Mark Hughes Foundation, Lisa was determined to donate her brain to the foundation’s research centre before she succumbed to the illness.

As she grew more ill, it became impossible for Lisa to giver her official consent to donate her brain, until a miraculous turn of events.

A Current Affair‘s Dimity Clancey joined Mark Levy with a preview of the extraordinary story.

“From the moment we started filming it, … it just reminds you there’s some such special people out there,” she said.

2GB listener Marylin also joined Mark Levy with an emotional account of donating her husband’s brain to research after his passing.
