Rural people with big ideas are being encouraged to put their pitch on paper, with the chance to win up to $30,000.

Buy From The Bush are running a ‘Big Break’ competition with first, second and people’s choice prizes for the best video submission.

Founder Grace Brennan told Ben Fordham the idea doesn’t need to be fleshed out into a full business proposal to win; applicants just need to record the pitch on their smartphone.

“We really want this to be low barrier to entry.

“If you’ve been stewing on something in the paddock or pondering something at the kitchen table … just put it out there!”
