Ben Fordham and his wife Jodie Speers have announced the birth of their third child, a beautiful baby girl!

Marigold Jean Fordham (AKA Goldie) was born late on Wednesday, weighing in at 3.8kgs.

Siblings Freddy and Pearl met their little sister this morning.

Ben spoke to Karl Stefanovic while on paternity leave, revealing the inspiration behind the name Marigold.

He says it all started when a woman knocked on their door on Halloween last year.

“A woman knocked on our door for trick or treat and she had a lobster bowl, and the baby inside the pot… was dressed as a lobster.

“And we said ‘who’s this?’ and she said ‘this is Goldie, this is Marigold’.

“From that moment it kind of stuck with us.”
