Australians encouraged to play a role in ending domestic violence
The Family and Social Services Minister is encouraging Australians to get involved in a national summit on women’s safety.
The virtual summit informing Australians on domestic violence will take place next week and be live-streamed to the public.
Family and Social Services Minister Anne Ruston told Deborah Knight they’re working towards a national plan to end violence against women.
“We’d like to have a conversation, albeit virtually, with the Australian public.
“Hopefully we can get the whole of the Australian community understanding that they can play a role in ending violence against women and their children.”
