Scientists are meeting in France this week to make a decision that could change the very nature of time.

Experts around the world, including Australia’s very own chief metrologist, will determine the future of what they call a leap second.

Dr Michael Wouters, a researcher at Australia’s National Measurement Institute, joined Joe Hildebrand to explain what this means for the future of time.
