Yesterday ANZ Bank sold its life insurance business for $2.85 billion.

The purchaser of those assets is Zurich, making it now the biggest life insurer in Australia.

CEO of Life and Investments at Zurich Australia Tim Bailey speaks with Ross Greenwood on why Zurich pushed forward on the deal.

“For us, this is really an opportunity to buy a very strong, well-run business.

“It gives us the number one position in the life market.”
