Rookie NRL coach Andrew Webster says he’s loving his first season as coach of the Warriors after an impressive start which has seen the club firmly inside the top eight.

It comes after the Warriors just arrived back in New Zealand, following a 36-14 win over the Raiders in Canberra in Jarrod Croker’s 300th game.

In his first season as an NRL head coach, Webster has guided the Warriors to eight wins from their 14 starts in 2023, already eclipsing their total of six wins the previous year.

He told The Continuous Call Team he’s loving his time across the Tasman.

“I’m loving it,” Webster said.

“(I’m) loving living in New Zealand, loving how hard the boys are training, how they turn up to work every day and how hard they want to work and I think they are getting the rewards.

“So it’s an absolute pleasure and so enjoyable.”

The Warriors have the bye next week.
