Alan Jones has joined Ray Hadley live in studio to celebrate 2GB’s 15th year at number one.

With the third radio ratings for the year released this morning, 2GB is celebrating an astonishing result: 15 years at number one with our 120th consecutive survey win!

Ray Hadley says it’s a proud moment for everyone at the station.

“It’s a big, big day. It’s 15 years, this survey, since we first took number one position.”

Alan joined Ray in studio to reflect on how far things have come, even remembering when Ray used to make an appearance on his show.

Alan: “I used to give you 35 seconds to do a sport segment!”

Ray: “Listen, you know who I feel sorriest for among all your staff? That’s [sports reporter] James [Willis]. The only thing I’d say, while I feel sorry for him, he gets about a minute more than I ever got in my entire career!”

Alan: “Mate, I thought I was overdoing it at 35 seconds.”
