A toddler has been flown to Sydney after being burned by boiling water on the state’s Mid North Coast.

The 18-month-old girl is suffering burns to her upper body and limbs after the incident occurred at Seal Rocks just after lunchtime.

Local emergency services attended to the toddler while the Westpac Rescue Helicopter was on its way.

She has now been transported to Westmead Children’s Hospital and is with her mother.

Westpac Rescue Helicopter’s Barry Walton tells Deborah Knight the toddler has been “stabilised”.

He says it isn’t yet clear how the toddler was burned by the boiling water.
