2GB listeners pull together to answer family’s prayers
In times of struggle, families come together to support each other – and the same goes for our amazing family of 2GB listeners.
Loyal Sydney Live listener, Christopher, recently got in touch with Ben Fordham and the team to share his tragic story about their young cousin in Adelaide who has been fighting cancer for several years.
Chris’s cousin Natasha is 23 and has been fighting aggressive cancer for the past three years.
Sadly doctors have decided that there is nothing else they can do and have stopped her chemotherapy and all treatment other than pain medication.
Chris tells Ben Fordham “she means everything, you can’t say it in words… she means everything to us”.
Chris and his family desperately want to travel from Sydney to Adelaide to see their beloved Natasha.
However, they have been suffering financial difficulties of late and are now trying to raise money for the family trip.
Natasha tells Ben “I haven’t seen them for ages… it would mean a lot to see him before I go”.
“He’s like my brother.”

In just 10 minutes they shot well over the $4000 target to over $10,000, and the generosity keeps flooding in.
“I am in tears, I can’t believe it at all,” says Chris.
Natasha tells Ben “she’s just so thankful for everyone who donated”.
“Thank you so much for letting me see my family.”
