Regional communities turning to migration
Earlier this year our National Rural News spoke with the Regional Australia Institute about how the dwindling population of Pyramid Hill in Central Victoria is being turned around by migration.
Other communities across the country are looking to follow the Victorian town’s lead, with the Regional Australia Institute meeting with representatives from other regions to help form their own local migration policy in a bid to grow skills and population.
Rural reporter Eddie Summerfield caught up with Chief Executive Jack Archer for an update.
