There are calls for a kid’s book to be banned for portraying dads as hopeless.

The Fatherhood Institute in Britain says the children’s book and mainstream TV advertising maintains “old stereotypes that discriminate against men”.

Children’s psychologist Andrew Greenfield tells Michael McLaren the ban is going a step too far.

“We’re going to drive ourselves crazy if we’re so careful talking about everything. But at the same time, we’ve got to make sure children are aware the different roles parents play.”

“I think  people are smart enough to understand the world isn’t the way it was 40 years ago.”
