The Liberal Party’s plan to redevelop Sydney’s Long Bay Jail into 12,000 apartments has raised questions about the cost of relocating the prison and providing the infrastructure needed to support the development.

2GB Afternoons host Michael McLaren isn’t “against” the idea of transforming Long Bay into apartments, but warns the proposal would need to factor in the cost of a new prison, the impact on staff and the expense of building a new rail line.
