2GB Afternoons Michael McLaren says Australia and other Western countries could learn from Switzerland’s model on immigration.

Citizens in Switzerland regularly vote on major policy issues through referendums rather than leaving the decisions solely to politicians.

“It’s perhaps the purest and most grounded form of democracy in existence today,” McLaren said.
