‘Agribusiness powerhouse’ – David Farley digs his heels into Farrer ahead of by-election
The race for the federal seat of Farrer is beginning to heat up, as One Nation candidate David Farley stands firm on his pursuit for the area in the upcoming by-election.
Speaking with Luke Grant on 2GB Mornings, Farley said that under the leadership of the Coalition, the area has been neglected, and underestimated for how big of an impact it can have on the nation.
“Farrer is an agricultural and agribusiness powerhouse that underwrites a lot of the food supply in Australia. It’s got resources that have been challenged and misaligned with food security and food affordability for Australia,” Farley said.
Located in southern NSW, Farrer was under the leadership of the former leader of the Liberal Party, Sussan Ley, whose departure from politics has left the seat open for the taking.
One Nation has seen a stark growth in popularity within the past year, sitting at 29 per cent in recent polling.
