We’ve been following the situation at Myuna, a coal mine near Lake Macquarie that is on the verge of shutting down.

While it currently supplies coal to Origin’s Eraring Power Station, which is set to remain operational until 2029, the mine’s future is precarious. If Origin stops purchasing coal from Myuna, the mine will be forced to close.
