‘Nowhere to go’ – Yasmin Catley on why youth crime is a ‘complex’ fix
New South Wales Police Minister Yasmin Catley has told Mark Levy that communities in the bush and the public need to keep in mind the “complex” issues when it comes to solving youth crime.
The Minister revealed to Levy how, in a lot of cases, youths at the centre of crime have nowhere to go and come from unsafe environments, while urging the need for 24-hour support services to take over from the current 9-5 systems that are in place.
