You might remember last year, we went into bat for the short-statured cross country runner Hugo Russell because sporting bodies banned the 15-year-old from competing.
We took up the fight and asked Athletics Australia to let Hugo run in the 2025 Cross Country Championships.
And after a very lengthy campaign, common sense prevailed, and he was allowed to run.
Now, Hugo is onto his next challenge, and he is teaming up with the inspirational figure Nedd Brockmann, who ran from one side of Australia to the other.
His fundraiser ‘Nedd’s Uncomfortable Challenge’ is returning in 2025, and Hugo will be taking part. Hugo is aiming to do 100 push-ups every day for 10 days straight.
If that’s not enough, he’ll be running 4 kilometres every day as well!
