 Cabinet reshuffles leaves questions for Anthony Albanese over Tony Burke’s new roles

A political expert has questioned Anthony Albanese’s decision to give Tony Burke the immigration and home affairs portfolio despite high levels of boat arrivals when he last held the role.

Director at Strategic Analysis Australia, Peter Jennings, says it was a strange move by the Prime Minister but notes the Home Affairs portfolio has been striped of departments, including the Australian Federal Police which was moved to the Attorney General.
