‘Is the PM organising a sports night?’: Mark Levy calls out Indigenous Voice campaign

Mark Levy Comments

The Australian government seeks support from Indigenous sports icons for the Indigenous Voice to Parliament referendum, but questions remain about the proposal’s details and intentions.

Anthony Albanese has recruited stars like Patty Mills and Cathy Freeman to support the Indigenous Voice to Parliament referendum, however, concerns rise as politicians fail to provide clear answers on the Voice’s impact, costs, and involvement.

Imagine the reaction if I walked into a board meeting and asked the directors to vote on a proposal without giving them the details,” said Mark Levy.

“I’d be frog-marched out of the joint, but when it comes to the Voice, it’s a resounding YES!”

Marcia Langton, a senior member of the Indigenous Voice to Parliament working group, warned of potential consequences if the referendum fails, stating non-Indigenous Australians “won’t be able to look me in the eye.”

Meanwhile, Peta Credlin, former Prime Minister Tony Abbott’s chief of staff, criticised the Voice for giving “4% of the population extra political power based on ancestry,” claiming it’s “wrong in principle and would be disastrous in practice.”
