‘Monumental’ electricity bungle hurting Aussies

The political push for net zero emissions could lead to fewer jobs and lower living standards, an expert warns.

In the Australian today Productivity Commissioner Gary Banks said “Australia is going backwards”.

Ray Hadley said Mr Banks labelled Australia’s pursuit of reducing energy emissions as “monumental bungling”.

With soaring electricity costs crippling consumers and the country now at risk of an energy shortfall the NSW state government is flagging an intervention to ensure market reliability.
