Australian tourist’s terrifying experience stuck in Peru’s Machu Picchu

Rail services have resumed for stranded tourists in the ancient Peruvian city of Machu Picchu.

About 300 foreigners, including dozens of Australians have been cut off after Peru was plunged into a state of emergency following the ousting of the country’s president.

It’s not yet clear if the Australian Government will assist in flying stranded residents home.

26-year-old Rachel is one of dozens of Australians stuck in Peru. She joined Luke Grant to give us the latest on her terrifying ordeal.
