Sydneysiders can now dob in cab drivers who refuse to turn on the meter.

Ben Fordham Live listeners have been stung by cab drivers who refuse to turn on the meter and demand a set fare instead.

Transport Minister David Elliott told Ben Fordham the hotline goes live at 9am.

He says it sends a clear warning to taxi drivers: “Clean up your act or we just don’t know what else is around the corner for you.”
