Ben Fordham is pushing for a hotline to dob in “thuggish behaviour” from taxi drivers.

Ben Fordham Live listeners, including beloved TV identity Scotty Cam, have hit out at cab drivers who refuse to turn on the meter and demand a set fare instead.

NSW Taxi Council CEO Martin Rogers told Ben Fordham a meeting will be held with the regulator and commissioner to “stamp out” the practice.

“Drivers in the industry are being tarnished by this.

“There’s no negotiation, it’s by the meter.”

Sydneysiders are being encouraged to report rogue drivers to the regulator, but there’s no 24/7 hotline to specifically report the illegal practice.
