Dymocks manager shares his Christmas book picks

Michael McLaren

Dymocks Sydney general manager Jon Page joined Deborah Knight to share his book picks for Christmas gifts.

Craig Silvey, the author of ‘Honeybee‘, has released his latest book ‘Runt‘ which Jon described as ‘a book you will struggle to put down.’

‘Which Way to Anywhere’ by Cressida Cowell will be an enjoyable read for 8-12 year-olds, Jon recommended.

Asked about cookbooks, Jon says ‘The Joy of Better Cooking’ by Alice Zaslavsky was a good pick for cooking enthusiasts.

‘RecipeTin Eats: Dinner’ by Nagi Maehashi has also proven popular with Dymocks customers.

Finishing the interview with his fiction book picks, Jon says ‘Demon Copperhead’ by Barbara Kingsolver was one of the best books he had read all year.

His final book recommendation was ‘Lucy by the Sea’ by Elizabeth Strout, which details her experience getting through the Covid pandemic.
