The NSW Education Minister has addressed questions of double standards after it was revealed political advisors are up for pay rises.

It’s been revealed the government’s top advisors are eligible for a 9 per cent pay rise while teachers strike for more pay.

Sarah Mitchell told Ben Fordham this was “only recently brought to my attention”.

“There aren’t any ministerial staff who are being paid at the top of that top band.”
