NSW government backflips on construction crackdown

The state government has backtracked on a crackdown on the construction industry.

Draft planning laws were forcing builders to operate at net zero emissions “well before 2050”.

NSW Planning Minister Anthony Roberts told Ben Fordham the industry is already overregulated.

“It was creating uncertainty and making it more difficult to deliver housing.”
