Federal Defense Minister Peter Dutton has said, “The threat of China and the indo-pacific is a reality.”

With plans for the federal government to have a key focus on border security, Mr Dutton told Ray Hadley “Our country is going to have to deal with that reality.”

With China appearing to have no intention to repair any relationship Minister Dutton believes Australia has to remain strong saying: “We have to do everything within our power to deter any conflict within our region”.

“I believe it’s only the Coalition that can make this decision.”
